Getting your people into work on time can be a nightmare with congestion and regular collisions causing delays during the rush hour.
We all know that:
One way is to help commuters to share car journeys.
CamShare has been providing businesses with a car share solution since 2002. Many organistions are already part of CamShare; click here to see who’s already on board.
There are two ways that you can help your staff take advantage of the CamShare car matching service:
Setting up a private car share group on CamShare provides your staff with additional security. When they decide to make contact with a prospective car sharer this is undertaken (at least initially) via work email contact details.
You, the employer, determine the ‘boundary’ to your private group. For example larger organisations may find limiting searching to company colleagues is sufficient.
However, a greater pool of car sharers can be provided by linking your private groups to other such groups in your geographical area. Why? Well, perfect car share matches for your staff may be working at the company across the road! - CamShare allows your staff to find those matches.
Other advantages of setting up a private car share group include:
Marketing car sharing
- Joining a private car share group will also link you into the regular CamShare promotions that encourage the take-up of car sharing. These promotions are run by the Travel for Work Partnership and the County Council.
- In addition you will have the advice and support of your allocated liftshare Project Officer who will be able to advise you on internal marketing of the scheme.
Monitoring usage
- In addition a private car share group gives you access to CamShare’s excellent monitoring and communication tools. This is useful to keep track on how well things are going. And it is very important for organisations who are using car sharing as part of a wider travel for work plan -contact Travel for Work to find out more about these plans.
Support
- Each private scheme is 100% automated and needs no intervention from you to facilitate matches. Private groups will be assigned a Project Officer by liftshare giving you dedicated access and support.
